Hey, I’m Tish!
Tish howard MA, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience working in the mental health field (even longer if we count working on my own mental health). I am a lifelong learner with a commitment to self-reflection and personal growth.
My approach to therapy is simple: Your voice, your feelings, and your experiences matter. You know yourself better than anyone else. I will prioritize you and your goals, and I will empower you to do the same for yourself.
I deeply believe in the transformative power of therapy, yet I acknowledge that for some, there is a healthy distrust of this system. I don’t shy away from that reality—I lean into it. I recognize that I am part of a system that has historically marginalized the voices and needs of people of color. My goal is to disrupt that pattern by centering you and your unique experiences, making our time together entirely about what you need and how I can support you in the way that feels most authentic and empowering.
You can expect me to show up to our space as my genuine and honest self. My priority is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and valued—a space that is safe, comfortable, and welcoming at every step. I believe that healing and growth happen best when there is trust and connection, and I strive to foster an environment that allows you to share your experiences without judgment or hesitation.
My commitment is to keep you—and your unique story, strengths, and needs—at the heart of our work together. By honoring your individuality, I aim to support you in exploring your challenges, celebrating your growth, and empowering you to thrive in a way that feels authentic to you.
