Hey, I’m Tish!
Tish howard, MA, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience working in the mental health field (even longer if we count working on my own mental health). I work with individuals (18+) navigating low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life transitions, racial identity issues, and relationship struggles.
I’ve seen firsthand how therapy can create lasting change, but I also know that for many, there is a very real, healthy distrust of this field. I don’t shy away from that—I lean into it. I recognize that I’m working within a system that has historically sidelined the voices of people of color. My goal is to disrupt that pattern right here in our sessions. I’m committed to centering your story and your needs, ensuring our time together is shaped entirely by what feels authentic and empowering to you.
I’m a firm believer in showing up exactly as I am—so you can always expect my genuine, honest self in our space together. When I’m not in the office, life usually looks like singing 90’s R&B with my daughter, testing out a new recipe with my husband, or being laid up on the couch with our dog, Kobe, watching a (very) cheesy rom-com.

I also encourage my clients to express themselves in ways that feel authentic and natural to them—creating an environment where their words and experiences are fully honored. My goal is to ensure that every conversation resonates deeply rather than getting lost in overly clinical and detached “therapy talk”.

Positive affirmations can be a powerful tool for reshaping thought patterns and fostering a healthier mindset.
